"This is not who we are and the United States is committed to seeing that those who are responsible are held accountable."

[The above one comes in the wake of the latest atrocity in Afghanistan - a 'lone' 'derelict' american soldier slaughtering 18 afghans including nine children, four women and a couple of elderly civilians in the dead of the night in their houses - note the detachment from 'official'.]
I have lost the count by now of her Highness's repeating this statement. It must come automatically I believe.
as do -
urinating on dead afghans and cracking jokes while pissing, burning koran, - all by the valorous american soldiers abroad within a span of a few weeks.
Why can she not see that THIS is the tradition, the face of America WE from the third world see since Red Indian massacres, black trade, japanese bombing, vietnam , Abu Ghraib...
an unenviable job the poor woman has indeed. Defending the indefensible, that too of a morally and economically bankrupt country. But then she wanted to be the President as well!!
More pertinently, this also shows limits of democracy. Even the supporters of Sarah Palin [if there are any, forget the Mitt Romneys and Newts, would [officially] abhor such incidences but it is precisely under those regimes that the acts take place. Does one assume tacit support of americans for these acts? Personally, I would say not but then....
