My Bio
The paintings you are about to see are not all decorative. They try to depict the real world around us.

Attempt is mainly to document collective miseries of peoples and investigate social pathology behind the misery. The dominant political discourse today is dictated by the state, market and media - none bothered about the weak. The alternative to this discourse seems to drift towards being self-obsessed - hedonist, reclusive or esoteric. So there is a need to reiterate that hunger, poverty and violence still afflict a vast majority of humans in the world.

The paintings endeavour to state this problem. They will have served their purpose if they make you pause and think. May be, then you would be kind enough to leave some feed-back on any of the paintings you fancy.
As those familiar with my work can attest readily, it has little (or nil really!) commercial potential. So, three years back I tried a new approach to increase visibility. It seems to be working. I have been camping in India for a little less than 7 weeks now and think I  have managed the new experiment alright. Now four major institutions have 32 of my paintings for real in their premises. No money is involved. Paintings remain my property. They are on a loan of two years to the institute. One of them is an Astrophysical and Astronomical Research institute-specialising in elliptical galaxies! Others are more modest - graduate training

Perhaps now only Dalai Lama has that moral stature and mantle of Mahatma Gandhi in the world.

as noted earlier I have been beyond and back! Conventionally speaking, a serious illness [see my earlier entry] entails great pain. I can make out that expectation and sympathy from the visitors. And I clarify every time, that actually I had no pain at all throughout the episode. Except the very first day morning when had a never-before-in-my-life headache and was admitted to the hospital in a few hours. I remember the first hour or so in the emergency ward faintly, then I passed out. When I came to senses, may be had lost 15 days [without any sedation]. I have no memory of the treatment, of the people who came to see me though they tell me
