To be honest, CK, I'm at a loss in interpreting this work. The patterns on the shelves and the subject figure's blouse and apron are evident (as is the checkerboard of the floor), but I'm at a loss to explain them.

It could have more to do with just having woken up and the morning's coffee not yet kicking in though. :)

No problem!
I have sent a note to you explaining my intention. Meantime, would you mind commenting on the visual aspect? Leave the title alone, just how you find the pic??

thanks

I really do not have the slightest clue ... but only when I try to interpret with Westernized eyes.

Are the selves as important as the shelves?

How many identities can be put on those shelves? How many lives?

My questions are done. The colors are very subtle, perhaps that is the way in which things work, subtlety.

Hi Chandrashekhar.
Beautiful colours in this piece, although they are obscured by a cloudy film, like a ray of light bouncing between us and the figure.
She is somehow taking objects off the shelves and making them part of herself. The materials that she consumes makes her who she is. Or such is the belief.
