I feel really sad for his children, he was their Daddy. I know what it feels like to lose ones parents. It must be even more tough for that to happen to a child
Sort of amazed at the media and some people who now talks about how great he was, when during his last years were the same people who called him names and used him as a laughable Hollywood joke.
He always reminded me of a modern Fred Astair, even though the style of dancing was very different, there is something about the two dancers I equate. If I could think of the right words I would try to explain in more depth. The nearest to it is that both were brilliant dancers with a astyle uniqueness that no one else had and could only copy.
I read that when he was a child dancer he was very thin and boney with long legs and big feet that nearly tripped over themselves. In fact it was his sister who was always accepted at auditions and not he. He was brilliant then, but experts could not recognize his genius and thought he was just awqward and clumsy, but he went on to be the best and most unique and super clever dancer in the world. Bless him
wow, well done you in comparing Jackson with Astaire! Just now I got my electronic edition of The Economist, and this is what it says in the obituary to Jackson -
''...springing from the music like a bird out of a trap. Pointing, jerking, thrusting, with rage in his feet, as Fred Astaire said once. He was at war with the floor as it slid away in the Moonwalk, and with the...''
Remarkable of you to have noticed the similarity, as no less authority than The Economist says so!!
You need to be shouted at...allow me to be the first. I hope more exposure comes your way...not as much for you as for the ebenfit to others it may bring. ...ok..a little bit for you too.
